WVU School of Nursing Project at UHC

There is an urgent need to enroll more nurses into the workforce quickly.

There is an urgent need to enroll more nurses into the workforce quickly. A partnership between the WVU School of Nursing and United Hospital Center will offer a geographically accessible, high-quality option. The BS/BA to BSN program is specifically designed for the individual who already has an existing bachelor’s degree who desires a fast path to nursing. The program will fill a gap in the nursing workforce with registered nurses prepared to meet the challenges of complex patient care and a changing healthcare delivery system, all while improving the health of West Virginia citizens.

Your donation will enable the expansion of the school’s program onto the campus of United Hospital Center. The program will be housed on the 5th floor of the East Wing that is currently under construction. The nursing wing will include two state-of-the-art classrooms and a six-bed skills lab. Students will have access to a student lounge, an existing on-site hospital library, and conference rooms for pre-and post-clinical work.
